A weekend to put behind and from which to focus on the future.

After the strong opening race in Hockenheim, the Project 1 Team was aiming high this weekend. But at 12.45pm, as the chequered flag marked the end of the third race in the Porsche Carrera Cup in the Eifel, it was clear that this race would not be going down in the annals of racing sport history at ‘Team Deutsche Post by Project 1’. Legend meets legend.

Take around 200,000 fans, fill the air with the scent of campfires and barbeques, and put it, together with 180 racing cars and nearly 700 racing drivers, on the legendary Nordschleife. A good start to the season for ‘Team Allyouneed by Project 1’.

With the first race in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup in Barcelona, the Project 1 team demonstrated, with a successful weekend, what people can expect this year. [..]

The start of the DTM in Hockenheim marked the start of the new season in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany and, on Sunday, shortly after 10.30am, it was clear to everyone that the ‘Yellows’ from Lohne, under their new name “Project 1”, are a forced to be reckoned with. [..]

For years, this name has stood essentially for two things: world class motorsport in the Porsche one make racing series, and unique business events on different sport platforms with an exclusive network from a specialist agency. Two divisions in which we have set the benchmarks with passion and expertise. What happens though when the name no longer really fits the programme? The answer is simple: find a better one!

With our extensive driver and technical racing knowhow, we have long been exceeding our limits in motorsport. Our skills in this regard were confirmed to us by our double victory in the driver and team championships in 2012. We thought, we debated and finally we acted: in the racing business we are setting a clear course to victory – and tolimit motorsport will now be called Project 1 Motorsport GmbH!

Of course, as Project 1 we will continue to turn our name into the programme. We naturally want to carry on being first! But as the best Porsche Cup team, with extensive experience in motorsport, we want to do more. We want to help others make it to the top. Our main concern next to the continual improvement of our own racing team will be the establishment of a recognised motorsport academy, which will be aimed at training, coaching and teaching professional drivers, up-and-coming talent, people transferring from other areas, as well as racing engineers, mechanics, trainers and teams of all classes.

As Project 1 GmbH we will continue to develop tolimit’s motorsporting division in the most professional way possible. At the same time, we are giving our agency the chance to establish itself and its performance portfolio in other types of sport. It is a clear step taken with a big goal in mind: we want to offer more, we want to become better, and we want to carry on winning together!
